Jessica is a dynamic speaker and has featured on global platforms talking about her work in technology and entrepreneurship. She has spoken at SWSX in 2014 and 2015. She co-founded iHub with Erik Hersman in 2010. It was the first tech-hub in Kenya and East Africa. At iHub, she served in various leadership positions for 6 years

Maija Luukka is a member of LUT Entrepreneurships Society (LUTES) with broad experience in working in the startup ecosystem of Finland. As a Project Manager of LUTES, she has been in charge of a startup incubator, mentorship program as well as many smaller entrepreneurial projects. She has played a valuable role in supporting student-run startups in turning their ideas into successful businesses. After volunteering SLUSH for two year, in 2019, Maija became a group lead for the SLUSH100 Pitching Competition team. She is also a master student of Industrial Engineering and Management, specializing in Operations Management.

Barack Onduto is a member of boost Turku and an IT professional with broad experience in network engineering and software development. He has worked as a ICT project lead in a software development start up company in Finland. He is currently studying a master’s degree in networked security and cryptography at the University of Turku. He has previously completed a master’s degree in distributed systems and data communication at the University of Helsinki.
He is passionate about implementing technology to accelerate Kenya’s and Africa’s development. His experience gained from studying and working in both Kenya and Finland can be harnessed to bridge the technological gap between the two countries.
