Valid8 Pre-Accelerator: The Accelerator for the Future
Valid 8 Pre-Accelerator is the perfect training ground for early-stage startup founders to put their business in order and prepare for a full-time accelerator or the first investment round.
Startups may be small companies but they can play a significant role in economic growth especially in Africa. They create more jobs, innovation, and change. We believe that startups are the driving force behind our future generation and, Valid8 Pre-accelerator advocates for the entrepreneurs in their early stage and support them to continue to foster innovation.
You might be wondering, but why do I need an accelerator?
Every startup needs a group of peers they can call on, cash to keep going, and mentorship to help guide them through strategic questions at any given time. Valid8 Pre-accelerator is developed for early-stage startups with support, networking, and tools to take their progress to the next level. It covers topics from Customer Development to Venture Funding and Accelerators.
The great minds behind Valid8 are not only aiming for the next startups as key changes for the future but we want to bring the change to the global level, this is the main reason why Ambitious.Africa, the Great Zambezi Initiative, and TampereES aligned forces for this pre-accelerator.
Following we will get to know more about the organizations behind this innovative pre-accelerator.
Ambitious.Africa is all about young people working together and leading the change. Ambitious.Africa aims to transform Africa, the Nordics, and the rest of the world via the Triple E- model: Education, Entrepreneurship, and Entertainment. Ambitious.Africa brings people together and this accelerator is a great example of the kind of cross-continental collaboration they enable. Ambitious Zambia is Ambitious.Africa’s local team operating in Zambia.
The Great Zambezi Initiative was born from the realization that over 30 million people live in the entire Zambezi Basin and out of that only about 7 Million of the number is dwelling in Urban areas with the rest residing in rural areas and largely excluded from the mainstream economy. The Initiative seeks to enable innovation in Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe especially targeting solutions that can be implemented in the Zambezi Basin communities of the same countries to improve livelihoods and economic growth. GZI organizes events and programs that encourage young people and women to take the initiative in creating employment opportunities for themselves and others as compared to an over-dependence on Government for jobs.
The story of Tampere Entrepreneurship Society (Tampere ES) has its origin in 2009 by forming an association called Stream Tampere. On the 1st of March 2011 at 13:49:31 that initiative was officially registered. Since that moment, Stream Tampere has been operated in New Factory premises by entrepreneurial-minded people. Later in 2014 – 2015 all that was reshaped into a student-led open community TAMPERE.ES.
Since the very beginning, our mission is to encourage students of Tampere Universities and international talents for entrepreneurship by supporting them in launching projects as well as providing personal and professional development opportunities and connections.
Altogether we have the goal of increasing and enabling entrepreneurship globally putting African Startups leading innovation in different sectors boosting the startup ecosystem that we strongly believe to be the key driver of new minds boosting new ideas for the new 21st century challenges.
