Kunal Kumar is the Lead for Ambitious.Africa Sustainability- Waste Management steam, which comprises of enthusiastic Change Makers from Africa and Finland. He works as an R&D engineer at an tech company in Helsinki, Finland. Kunal is passionate about clean and renewable energy, global education, technological innovations, product development, sustainable start-ups, and finding sustainable solutions for everyday life.

Jennifer Ohemeng is an optimistic, diverse and creative individual with knowledge and experience in Human Resource Management, Event Organising, communication, social media marketing, event hosting and an interest in personal safety and Security. She has been involved in the Finnish startup ecosystem for several years, combined with familiarity of the Finnish culture and way of life.  

She continuously hopes to contribute to ventures that can change peoples lives both in Africa and the Nordics while developing herself. Contributing as a changemaker in Ambitious.Africa Waste management Stream, community coordinator and a member of Ambitious team Ghana

John Adelegan is a staff member of River Recycle in Finland and is part of the effort to expand the organisation´s activities into the African market. He is a Civil Engineer and has completed a Master´s degree in Water and Environmental Engineering. He has both practical and theoretical experience in the field of sustainability and waste management having worked for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) an international research organisation with their African headquarters in Accra, Ghana and Global Network for Environment and Economic Development Research (GNEEDER) a West African renewable energy organisation in Ghana. He has written and presented research papers at four global conferences namely the Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC) 2020, Dresden, Germany, the 2016 “Under Western Skies International Conference”, Calgary, Canada, the 2019 Oklahoma University International Water Conference, Norman, Oklahoma, United States and the 13th Globelics International Conference, Havana, Cuba.

He is passionate about sustainable development on the African continent and has the theoretical and practical knowledge from both Africa and Finland that can be employed towards solving the sustainability issues that are still prevalent in Africa.

Theresia Bilola

Theresia Bilola is sustainability  policy specialist and the lead of the event stream of Ambitious.Africa Sustainability team. Theresia was born in Cameroon and currently lives in Finland. 

She has conducted extensive research and published on higher education management and policy. She holds a Doctoral degree in social sciences (strategy formulation and implementation in higher education). 

Theresia is an alumni of the European Masters Scholarship programme funded by the European commission. She served the over 12000 member alumni association as country representative for 8years and partnerships manager for close to 1year.

Theresia was one of the 600 selected out of 4000 to volunteer at the 23rd Conference of the Parties to the Paris Climate agreement organized by the UNFCCC.

Theresia conducted the first ever mapping the city of Turku's strategy with the 169 targets  of the UN sustainable development goals. The results formed the background research for Turku's maiden voluntary local review to the UN high level political forum held in July 2020. The results are also used in the process of drawing a resource wisdom roadmap for South-West Finland.

Alexis Amachree

Nigeria

Alexis is a Chemical Engineer and Entrepreneur born and raised in Port Harcourt, Southern Nigeria. She was a Fellow of the Millennium Campus Network in collaboration with the United Nations Academic Impact In 2019 where she worked on project relating to the SDG4 (Quality Education). She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers where she served as the Vice President and then later President in the University Of Port Harcourt. She speaks English fluently, understands French and Mandarin at basic levels and has interest in Sports Tourism Development. She recently launched ALXS Sports, a start up aimed at promoting African Culture in Sports.

Daniel, an Ethiopian residing in Finland is a stream leader in Sustainable start up teams in Ambitious Africa. As an entrepreneur, he had been in business for 5 years in the field of Export, Logistics, and sales functions. During those years, He got a chance to work with people from different background and develop a team player quality. He graduated in Master of Business Administration focusing on International Business Development. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and believes strongly following the journey in a sustainable way. Sustainability must be part of the solution to existing problems. Sustainable Entrepreneurship shall be the way to go forward in a global scale.
